A New Chapter

***While looking through old photos for this post, I became very excited for what is to come. I cannot wait to be back on Disney Property!***

Well, ladies and gentlemen, I am moving back to Florida! I got the phone call on Tuesday to tell me that I have been approved for rehire! I am feeling so many emotions right now, but mostly I am just trying to focus on what needs to be done before I leave.

I will be checking in on June 25. That's only a little over a month away! I already have a place to live. Thank the Lord for good friends and nice people. Now I have to figure out what I'm taking with and what I'm leaving behind. I honestly have no idea where to begin. Disney is helping out with relocation costs, so that is nice. I really want to get a new camera before I go, but that is probably not the most cost effective decision. Especially since I'm probably going to have to buy all new bedroom furniture upon arrival.

I don't know why, but almost as soon as I found out I would be moving back to Florida, I felt very anxious and stressed. I think the biggest reason is that I let other people's judgement and negative opinions cloud my excitement. As I have told more and more people my good news, I have gotten responses like, "Oh, so you're not finishing college next year like your high school classmates?" "How is this actually going to benefit you in the future?" and "You quit last time, so see you in a couple months." All I have to say to any of those is this: When I moved to Florida to participate in the Disney College Program, I had some growing up to do. It was a start, but I did not grow leaps and bounds like maybe I was supposed to. I wasn't ready. I'm ready now. I've changed so much over the last year. I see it at work, I see it when I'm with my friends, and I saw it when I auditioned for Disney two months ago. This is what I am supposed to do right now. This was my fifth time to audition for Disney. It is the first time I have been approved to be friends with Tinker Bell and offered a full-time job. There has to be a reason for that. This is an opportunity I have to take. And I am going to make the most of it. Everything else, I will figure out down the road.

This isn't to say that nobody is excited for me. Let it be known, I got a lot of really great responses when I was telling my friends and family. So many people are happy for me and proud of me for not giving up on this dream of mine. Now I just have to make the most of it like I plan to! Everyone have a magical day and expect more posts very soon!
